Govt to close down twelve mills: Modified Rehabilitation Scheme seeks Reformation

New Delhi, May 15: As per the Modified Rehabilitation Scheme, Government of India has decided to close down twelve non functional mills which are undergoing no production activity and whose employees have taken retirement under MVRS, Modified Voluntary Retirement Scheme.
The Rehabilitation Scheme was approved by the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) and Group of Ministers (GOM). All existing liabilities of these closed mills are dealt by NTC for their disposal.
